Chittoor Revathy Ratnaswamy Recommended For Padmashree Award

Andhra Pradesh Government has recommended Smt. Chittoor Revathy Ratnaswamy, renowned carnatic vocalist, teacher, daughter of Carnatic Music legeng Late Shri. Chittoor Subramanyam for the nationa award 'PadmaShree' పద్మశ్రీ.

Here is the paper clip from Telugu newspaper 'Saakshi' సాక్షి dated 25th November 2012. Smt. Revathy's name has been recommended along with a number of eminent personalities. 

As her son, I feel extremely happy for this well deserved recognition for my mother. 

We wish you all the best and may the recommendation be accepted at the earliest.

The memorial day function of Late Sri Chittoor Subramanyam was successfully conducted on 24th June 2012 at Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Kalamandiram, in Hyderabad. This function was organised by Subramanya Sangeetha Kshetra, Hyderabad, Managing Trustee of this organisation is Smt. Revathy Ratnaswamy, daughter of Chittoor Subramanyam.

Happy to inform that a Musical Tribute in memory of Sangeetha Kalandhi Late Sri Chittoor Subramanyam is scheduled on Sunday 24th June 2012 at 5.30 pm  at Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao Kala Mandir, P.S.Telugu University, Hyderabad.

బాసర సరస్వతికి నీరాజనం. Melodiously rendered neerajanam by legendary carnatic musician Smt. Revathy Ratnaswamy for Basara Saraswathy Devi.

Basara temple: There is an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswathi in a village called Basar. Basar or Basara is situated on the banks of River Godavari and at a distance of 220 KMs from Hyderabad.
